Description: We’ll start from the Gate 9 Visitors Center. You must have a recreational pass or other arsenal access to ride. We should be done around 9:00 AM. Rest stop will be at the Campground 17.5 miles. There are some rollers and short hills but no major climb.

Expectations: Please make sure you are familiar with the route. Bring a cue sheet and/or navigational device and have the phone numbers of the Ride Leader and the phone number of at least one friend. Be aware that cell phone service can be spotty. Text message may be the best way to communicate during the ride.
Expected end of ride speed is 15+/- mph but faster on flats and slower on climbs. Generally, riders are expected to stay together and watch out for each other. Be confident you can do the stated speed and distance.

Starts at 8:30 am at Bonefish Grill‘s parking lot (4800 Whitesburg Dr. S.), 4.5 miles to Honest Coffee(SW corner of Clinton and Washington with lunch in Washington Park (sometimes to Gold Sprint Coffee or other agreed upon location for an extra couple miles each way) 4.5 miles back. Third Sunday of the month is pancake breakfast on Lincoln Street ($10 cash). Post breakfast Monte Sano option for a total of 24 miles. Description: The weather for Saturday looks to be cooler but still very humid, with a chance for showers. We will start from the New Sharon Senior Center, 783 Butter and Egg Rd, Hazel Green, AL 35750. CAUTION, there is a steep, fast descent down Robertson Hollow at 9.2 miles with limited line of sight over the crest, so stay to the right. Rest stop will be at Kirkland Grocery 19 miles. We will regroup after the Poorhouse Road climb 15.6 miles and during the ride as needed. Generally, low traffic and nice roads but as always remain traffic aware.
