State Championship Hill Climb (USAC), July 18, 2009, New Hope, Alabama

Road Race Description: 20.3 mile loop through the countryside with rolling hills and mostly good pavement. Short hill 3.8 miles from finish. Course Map, Course profile.
Hill Time Trial Description: 2.8 mile flat plus 1.0 mile finishing climb with 10.6% average grade and ramps up to 12%. Total length 3.8 miles. Course map.
Directions: From Huntsville take the Governors Drive/U.S. 431 South exit from Memorial Parkway. Go 16 miles and turn left on Old 431/Main Drive in New Hope. Continue 1.5 miles and turn right into the high school parking lot. Parking and staging will be at New Hope High School. GPS - 5216 Main Dr. New Hope, AL 35760

Mellow Mushroom Criterium (USAC), July 19, 2009, Huntsville, Alabama

Description: 0.7 mile course in scenic downtown Huntsville with one small hill and tight turns. Free lap rule applies. This is the same course used in previous years.
Directions: From I-565 - Take the Jefferson Street/Downtown Exit 19. Head south on Jefferson Street/Madison Street. Turn left on Williams Avenue. Parking is available on the left at Progress Bank, Regions Bank and the office park across from Big Spring Park. GPS Device - Progress Bank, 201 Williams Avenue, Huntsville, AL 35801.

ERC Kids Rocket Races, July 19, 2009

Held on the Criterium course. It’s FREE, fun, family friendly races for kids under age 13. All children must register their attendance in order to participate. Helmets are required. In the event of poor weather, the kids races will not be held. Open to unlicensed kids age 13 and under.

Racers can pickup their registration packets and/or register for races at the Holiday Inn Huntsville Downtown located at 401 Williams Avenue from 6:00 to 8:00pm Friday, July 17.
