The beneficiaries of the profits from the 2007 SCCC Summer Races:

• The New Hope Cheerleading squad
• The family of Ben Schaaf, a New Hope student who is being treated for leukemia at St Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis
• The Alabama Bicycle Coalition

A Special acknowledgement for the “Super Volunteers” who headed up committees of volunteers for the races:

• Joe Ruf – Volunteer refreshments and food (3 meals a day for some), Equipment transport
• Allison and Mike Callahan – Volunteer Coordinators
• Morgan Andriulli – Route development, Communications, Equipment, Sponsorship
