Welcome to the Spring City Cycling Club

The Spring City Cycling Club of Huntsville, Alabama organizes a wide variety of bicycling activities suitable for all biking enthusiasts. There are club sponsored rides every week throughout the year. The club participates and promotes bicycle advocacy for Huntsville and the surrounding areas. The club organizes an annual USCF race in the summer and a century tour in the fall.

Tour de Cure – May 17, 100, 62 and 35-mile options. Family Fun Ride 8:00a.m. After ride cookout at the new Bicycles Etc. party patio. More details.

Adopt-A-Mile Program – Once again the club is supporting the SCCC Cecil Ashburn Litter Patrol. This year we will have 4 sessions (March, June, August, and November). Click here for more information.

Community Affairs

ALDOT will be holding public involvement meetings concerning the Draft FY 2008-2011 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. In Division 1, the meeting will be held on July 24th from 5pm to 7pm at the Alabama Department of Transportation, Division 1 Office located at 23445 U.S. Highway 431 North in Guntersville, Alabama.

They are holding a series of public meetings to develop the Statewide Transportation Plan update (done every five years). Please participate on the web or at the nearest venue in shaping the future transportation network of your State. Showing up in person to meet your local DOT guys is recommended. Local meeting: Huntsville Main Library, Tuesday, July 10 4pm – 6pm.
